Series prizes, sponsored by The Running Shop were presented for the fastest accumulated times over the three meetings.
There were team (3) medals at each meeting for U11, U13 & U15 age groups.
Everyone who completed all three meetings and didn't collect their medal at House of Dun can collect/contact from The Running Shop.
The 2010 and 10th edition of the Ythan Challenge takes place on Sunday 27 June at 11am.
LOCATION
The race starts and finishes at: The Meadows Sports Centre, Ellon, Aberdeenshire, AB41 9QJ.

Race day information will be emailed to all entrants during the week beginning 14th June and will also be available here and on the event website. Race numbers and timing chips are collected when you register at the Meadows sports centre in Ellon on race day. Please note that no information will be sent out by post.
Entrants will start in three waves of runners. Where you start will be based on the previous Ythan Challenge time or most recent 10k time you’ve given us. Please make sure you fill in this section of the entry form accurately.
TEAM ENTRIES
You can enter as many runners as you like (one form per runner) in a team with the first three across the line to count. Please note, though, that you do have to enter as a specific team using the same team name — we won’t count three individual runners with the same club affiliation as a team.
PRIZES
There are prizes for the first, second and third men and women overall. There are also prizes for the first Male and Female Vets (40-49), first Male and Female Supervets (50+), and first Male and Female Vintage Vets (60+). There are also prizes for the first team, first uniform team and first corporate team, as well as spot prizes.
Prizes are provided by The Running Shop with support from Mizuno.

SWAPS
Please DON’T allow someone else to use your number if you can’t run — this is a challenging event and it is essential we know exactly who is running on the day. If you’ve already entered and want to do a swap, email us and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.

LOCATION
Both runs are within the beautiful grounds of Dunecht House on mainly private tarmac roads. Dunecht House, Dunecht, Westhill, Aberdeenshire, AB32 7AW.
This event is organised by the Dunecht School Parent Council and all profits go towards Dunecht Primary School funds. The Parent Council would like to thank the Pearson family for their kind permission to use the grounds of their estate for the running of this event.
TIMETABLE
2K Fun Run open to Children U13/Adults running with children starts 11.30am. (with a warm-up for the children at 11.15am.
5K Children U18 (you must be 13 years of age on day of race to run)/Adults starts 12.15pm.
ENTRIES

2K fun run: Children (U13 on race day) £5, Adults accompanying children £5
5K race: Children (U18 on race day) £5, Adults £10
Any entries taken on the day add £2 per entry.
The closing date for all entries is 3 May 2010.
There is a race limit of 200 runners per event which has been filled the last three years, book early to avoid disappointment!
Run in accordance with UK athletics rules. Organised by Dunecht School Parents Council (a registered charity - number SC036126) with the kind permission of Dunecht Estates.
PRIZES
A medal and goody bag will be awarded to all finishers.
Snacks and drinks will be available at the start / finish area (separate charge applies).
Prizes for 2K: 1st, 2nd 3rd Male and Female – U16, U12, U10, U8, U6
Prizes for 5K: Female- SF U35, VF U45, SVet F45+, Male- SMU40, VM U50, SVM 50+
Prize giving for both races will be held after the 5K race is completed.
REGISTRATION
Registration is open at 10am and closes at 11.30am.
PARKING
Parking will be signposted from Dunecht village (on the A944 Aberdeen-Alford road).
Parking is limited near Dunecht House so, if possible, please car share.
