The Running Shop opened in November 1992 and remains a family run business.
With over 15 years experience, we help customers find the correct footwear, apparel and accessories for whatever level of exercise they are undertaking.
All our staff have an active background and have covered a wide variety of athletic events over the years from road running & hill running to decathlon & triathlon - everything from 60 metres to 50 Miles!
So whether you are taking the first steps towards a healthier lifestyle or are already a veteran of many marathons, we offer informative and impartial advice on shoes, clothing and accessories, drawing not only on product knowledge, but also our own experiences in using such gear.
 |
If you're visiting the shop we have a treadmill allowing you to compare shoes plus the use of a video camera to help with gait analysis. Please bring along your current running shoes (if you have any!) which can help us in choosing a new pair. |
We're still amazed how many people don't even realise you get all the shoes in half sizes!
Let us help you see that it's not difficult to get kitted out with proper running shoes.
See our Advice section on the left hand side for more information on footwear and other interesting stuff.
The Running Shop is also an information point for local runners and has entry forms for most events along with details of clubs you can join. We also offer a printing service, supplying all types of garments as well as school/club kit & athletic equipment.
We have good links with local clubs and offer event packages with numbers, race tape, vouchers, etc. As well as being involved in the sponsorship of various races such as the Aberdeen 10K and our own Round the Castles Cross Country Series, we've helped out local athletes from triathlon and hill running to current British Wheelchair Marathon record holder Kenny Herriot.
If you're visiting the store, there's plenty of parking either on Kintore Place or in the Richmond Terrace/Mount Street area. |
