Formed in 1914, Brooks Sports is one of the oldest athletic footwear companies in America. Brooks emerged as a leading manufacturer of running footwear in the 1970's. Since then, many of the technologies that Brooks pioneered, such as Ethyl Vinyl Acetate (EVA) and dual-density midsoles, are now the industry standards.

		DNA No two runners are the same. Most modern footwear shock absorption systems have been designed for totally average runners of medium height. Most runners for this reason rely on shoes whose shock absorption does not really answer their needs.
