Read the POWERbreathe brochure to fully understand the benefits of "dumbbells for your diaphragm".
As you breathe through the POWERbreathe you must lift open the inspiratory valve before you can breathe in; the level of resistance in doing this can be set by you, using the POWERbreathe adjustable spring mechanism. The adjustable loading mechanism allows you to train progressively and achieve an optimal training programme.
Using the laboratory proven POWERbreathe training programme of 30 breaths twice daily, your strength and endurance will increase rapidly… that's less than 4 minutes per session!
What other training aid gives you so much for so little?
"Powerbreathe is a vital tool that helps us achieve our goals for training and forms an integral part of our Olympic preparations and gold medal aspirations".
Tony Garbett, Member of GB Rowing Coxless Four
"Research on rowers and cyclists has shown that if you make the inspiratory muscles stronger by training them, you reduce the extent of the fatigue that is induced during heavy exercise - in fact it almost disappears completely. This research also showed that the performance of rowers and swimmers increases by up to 4.6%!"
Dr Alison McConnell, Reader in Sports & Exercise Physiology
"It is important for me to always be seeking to achieve excellence in my training, which will then allow me to compete to my optimum level. To this end I have used POWERbreathe for several seasons now and it has been an invaluable training aid to me".
Nicole Cook, Bronze winner of the Elite Women's Road Race in the World Championships
"We have used POWERbreathe over the last 3 seasons, specifically as the part of the warm up protocols for matches. We find that for many players, the lung warm up that POWERbreathe provides, allows them to more quickly operate at their full potential. POWERbreathe has been especially useful with our substitutes in this respect".
Dave Reddin, National Fitness Advisor, England Rugby
"I can't thank you enough…. I have had asthma for 16 years and this is the first year I haven't had a chest infection"
